Kauai: Garden Isle

Exploring the garden isle of Kauai, Hawaii.

Waimea Canyon.

Waimea Canyon.

  • 3,600' deep, in total. A lot of fall for these waters.

A different perspective of the canyon.

A different perspective.

"This is spectacular," I said out loud over and over. This can be found on a small island in the middle of a vast ocean.

Another angle, for perspective again.

Just a crop, for perspective, again.
Looking West and somewhat North, I believe, out over the Pacific Ocean. The Na Pali Coast ends (or begins) below, accessible only by foot or boat. Watch out for high winds and seas.

Make it rain... bow.
Incredible contrast of the red clay-like dirt with tropical fauna. A little less jungle-y on the southwest side of the island here, near the entrance to Waimea Canyon.

Sunrise. South side of the island. Worth exploring to find this view. Although, you shouldn't be disappointed even if you got lost.

Hanalei Bay as rain clouds part. Warm and tropical; looks may be deceiving.
